Vault is proud to partner with the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) — a leading advocate for the expanded hiring, retention and promotion of minority attorneys — to produce the Law Firm Diversity Database. The database was developed in cooperation with Accenture, Bank of America, Microsoft, PPG Industries, Sara Lee and Wal-Mart to support the Call to Action, an effort launched by top general counsel to advance diversity in the legal profession.

Compiled from responses to the annual Law Firm Diversity Survey distributed by Vault and MCCA, the database contains valuable benchmarking information about the diversity programs at more than 250 major law firms. Entries include quantitative data on the numbers of attorneys who are minorities, women, LGBTQ, or individuals with disabilities, as well as qualitative information regarding firms' diversity plans and initiatives. Through this online tool, users can make side-by-side comparisons of diversity metrics, gauge firms' progress over the years and measure their performance against industry-wide benchmarks. The database also includes access to firms' complete, self-reported survey responses, to present a comprehensive picture of the diversity commitment and programs at each participating law firm.

The Vault/MCCA Law Firm Diversity Survey and Database are helping to set new standards for measuring improvements in diversity, and we are pleased to offer this valuable resource to the legal community…Read more
